This is one of a dozen hand made glass paper weights that I have for sale. It is hand crafted and were made as holiday gifts. but I have a few left over to sell. I have been doing glass sculpture since the 80's and made this with the frit casting technique. It use's the lost wax casting style to obtain the image. Crushed glass is placed in the mold and then fired to 1700 degree's Fahrenheit. Then cooled to room temperature over 16 hours so that it does not stress and fracture. The mold is then split away from the glass, and the end result is a casting of the original now in glass. Feel free to email me with any questions you might have about them.
